Detectives investigating affray would like to speak to these people

Detectives have released images of people they would like to speak to following a report of affray in Leicester.

A number of people were involved in a fight in New Park Street at around 3am on 14 December.

Some were reported to have thrown punches while one person was reportedly seen throwing a metal barrier.

Three people were injured as a result of the incident. Two men, aged 21 and 22, suffered minor injuries. A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital for assessment. His injuries were not deemed to be serious and he has since been discharged.

Enquiries have been carried out to establish the full circumstances of the incident. As part of these enquiries, officers are appealing to speak to the people pictured who it is believed may be able to help with the investigation.

Detective Constable Dan Thorpe said: “We have been carrying out full enquiries to establish the identities of those involved in this incident.

"We believe the people pictured, along with others, can help us with our enquiries and urge them or anyone who recognises them to make contact with us.

“We know a lot of people were around at the time of the incident including people recording the incident on their mobile phones. We have already spoken to a number of these people. If anyone has any information or any kind of recording and has not yet contacted police then I urge you to do so.”
