Second arrest following Braunstone stabbing

Detectives investigating a stabbing in Braunstone, Leicester have arrested a second person in connection with the incident.

A 15-year-old boy from Leicester was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm yesterday (Wednesday 2 January). He has since been released on bail.

The incident happened in Kingsway just before 10.45pm on Friday 28 December and enquiries are ongoing.

A 16-year-old boy was also arrested in connection with the incident and was released on bail on Monday (31 December).

Detective Sergeant George Fraser, from Leicestershire Police’s Complex crime team, said: “We are still keen to speak to anyone who was in the area of Kingsway on the night of 28 December and who is yet to come forward.”
