Teenager stabbed in Braunstone, Leicester

Detectives are appealing for public help after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in Braunstone yesterday evening (Friday 28 December).

The victim was with his brother in Kingsway, near Mossdale Meadows, Leicester, when they were approached by a group of 2-3 people.

One of the victims was punched and the second was stabbed. He was taken to hospital where his condition has been described as serious but stable.

The area was cordoned off while officers examined the scene and that has since been lifted.

Officers are in the process of carrying out enquiries locally including trawling through CCTV and house to house visits.

If anyone witnessed the incident, which took place just before 10.45pm, they are urged to contact the police if they haven’t done so already.

It is important that officers speak to as many people as possible so they can piece together exactly what happened and the circumstances leading up to the assault.
