Woman seriously injured following Leicester collision

A woman has been seriously injured following a collision in Leicester.

Officers were called to the single-vehicle incident in Thurncourt Road, near the junction with Vale Close, just after 3.45am yesterday (Wednesday 5 December).

The collision involved a red Peugeot 206 car.

The 17-year-old woman was taken to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham where she currently remains. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

An 18-year-old man, from Leicester, has been voluntarily interviewed in relation to the incident.

Police Constable Robert Rollings said: “There were multiple calls to the emergency services following the incident and a number of people were in the area. If you were one of these people, and you have not yet made contact with police, then please do so.

“Anyone else who has any information is also urged to get in touch. If you have any CCTV or dashcam footage, then please also check this to see if it holds any information which could help our enquiries.”
