A Leicester man has been sentenced to 12 weeks in prison after he admitted assaulting a woman in New Parks.
Daniel Jervis, 23, of Aikman Avenue, appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 11 September) and pleaded guilty to assault by beating and criminal damage.
As well as the 12 weeks prison sentence, a restraining order has also been placed on Jervis for 12 months, instructing him not to make contact with the victim.
He was also ordered to pay £300 in compensation to the victim along with £200 in other costs.
The incident relates to an assault outside an address on Saturday 8 September. The woman sustained brushing and swelling to her head as a result of the attack.
