A 76-year-old woman remains in hospital following a collision in a Leicester street yesterday afternoon (August 8).
The incident, which happened in Mansfield Street at 4.53pm, involved a black Volvo car and four pedestrians.
The four pedestrians were taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham following the collision. Three of the pedestrians were discharged from the hospital yesterday evening. The fourth pedestrian, the 76-year-old woman, remains in hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
The driver and an occupant of the car were not injured.
Officers are appealing to anyone who saw the collision, or who has any information regarding the incident, to contact police.
Police Constable Chris Coe said: “We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision. It happened at a busy time of day in the city centre area when people would have been walking and driving in the area. Anyone who saw the incident, or who has any information at all regarding it, is asked to contact us.
“We would also ask anyone who was driving in the area and who has a dashcam to check this to see if you have any footage which could assist our enquiries."
