Officers investigate disturbed burglary in Braunstone Town

Officers are investigating a disturbed burglary at a property in Braunstone Town.

At around 10.50pm on Wednesday 1 August, a resident returned home to her property in Holmfield Avenue East.

As she arrived home, two men made off from the property and ran off heading in the direction of Braunstone Lane.

The house had been broken into and a number of items were taken including silver cutlery and items of gold and silver jewellery.

One of the suspects is described as between 20 and 30-years-old, with light mousey hair which was curly on top. He was wearing a blue top, gloves and spoke with an Irish accent.

PC Gemma Stevens, the investigating officer, said: “Were you in the area at the time? Did you see these two people acting suspiciously around the time of the incident? Have you heard any rumours locally about who may have been responsible? If so please get in touch.

“I’d be keen to speak to anyone who may have any information regarding the burglary and the stolen property.”
