Cigarettes stolen in Ibstock break

Officers are appealing for public help after thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes were stolen from a shop in Ibstock.

The incident took place sometime between 12.35am and 1.40am yesterday (Wednesday) in Leicester Road near to the junction with Wellington Court.

The rear door to the shop was forced open and a large quantity of cigarettes were stolen during the incident. Also stolen was a quantity of cash and some alcohol.

PC Paul Bonsell is investigating the incident, he said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the Leicester Road area during the very early hours of today, did you hear any noises? Were you driving through Ibstock at the time and saw something suspicious? If so, we need to speak to you.”
