Four men charged with murder of Leicester jeweller

Four men charged with the kidnap, robbery and manslaughter of a Leicester jeweller earlier this year have now also been charged with his murder.

Thomas Jervis, 24, of Enderby Road, Whetstone, Leicester; Charles Frances Mcauley, 20, of Gooding Avenue, Leicester; Callan Reeve, 20, of Aylmer Road, Leicester; and Javon Roach, 30, of Norwich Road, Leicester, were all charged today (Tuesday 15 May) with murdering Ramniklal Jogiya in January this year.

They had all previously been charged with an unlawful act manslaughter, kidnap and robbery.

They are due to appear at Leicester Crown Court on Friday 18 May.

Mr Jogiya, 74, was reported missing by his family on the evening of Wednesday 24 January when he failed to return home having closed his jewellery store in Belgrave Road.

His body was found in Gaulby Lane, Stoughton, the following morning.
