Incident number: 344 of 11 May

A 17-year-old man who was taken to hospital following a fight in Loughborough is in a stable condition.

Police were called to Radmoor Road just after 1.20pm on Friday (11 May), following a report of a large fight.

The youth, who was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, is now in a stable condition and has been moved to Nottingham City Hospital.

Five people, four men aged 20, 19 and two aged 18, as well as a 16-year-old boy, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

All five have since been released under investigation and inquiries are continuing.

Detective Sergeant Dave Speight, the investigating officer, said: “The condition of the young man who was taken to hospital improved over the weekend and he was subsequently taken from QMC to the City Hospital.

“However, our investigation is still continuing. We’ve spoken to many people who were in the area at the time and I’m grateful for the information they’ve provided.

"But I’d still urge anyone who was in the area of Radmoor Road on Friday afternoon but who has not yet spoken to us to come forward. Any information you have, no matter how small or insignificant you think it may be, could help with my investigation.”

If you have any information that might be able to help, call 101 quoting incident number 344 of 11 May.
