Police have received a number of reports of vehicles being damaged in Barwell and Earl Shilton earlier this week.
At this stage we have received more than 10 reports of vehicles having their tyres slashed overnight on Monday 9 April through to Tuesday morning (10 April).
Sergeant Ian Tuckwood from Hinckley police said: “We understand that this is worrying for residents living in these areas and we would like to reassurance them that officers will be carrying out extra patrols in the local area in response to this spate of crime.
“I would like to encourage anyone who has been a victim but hasn’t contacted police to do so. I would also like to ask residents and businesses who may have CCTV to check their systems to see if they have captured anything which may be linked to these offences.”
Anyone with any information about these incidents or who may have witnessed them is asked to contact 101, quoting incident number 18*160350.
