Second person charged over Ashley Johnson murder

A 17-year-old has been charged with murder following the death of Ashley Johnson in Leicester.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was remanded and he is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court this morning (Friday 9 March).

The charge relates to the death of 24-year-old Ashley who was found in Dannett Street on 24 February. He died on the way to hospital having sustained a stab wound.

Earlier this week 20-year-old Roman Hemmings, of Swannington Road, Leicester, was charged with murder and appeared at magistrates’ court where he was remanded into custody to appear in court again at a later date.
