Robbery at address in Hamilton - officers appeal for public help

Leicestershire Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward following two incidents in a city street.

A woman was robbed at her home on Pickhill Road in Hamilton shortly after 8.30pm on last night (Wednesday).

The victim went into her kitchen and was confronted by a man, who pulled off a necklace she was wearing. Four other men then entered the property and started searching the house.

Each of the men were wearing different coloured balaclavas.

The first man is between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall and in his 20s. He is of a slim build and was wearing a blue balaclava, a black long-sleeved top and black jeans. He was also carrying a baseball bat.

The other men are white, of slim build and in their 20s. They were each wearing dark clothing and white, yellow and blue balaclavas.

While at the scene, officers discovered that another property on Pickhill Road had been broken into. The occupant was not at the property and it is not known if anything was stolen.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who may have seen a silver Mercedes and a brown Volvo on Pickhill Road at the time of the incident.
