Officers stopped twenty vehicles and arrested three people in Leicester yesterday during an operation to tackle travelling criminality.
Neighbourhood officers and Tactical Roads Policing Officers took part in ‘Operation Trivium’ coordinated by the European Traffic Police Network (TISPOL) to target cross-border criminality and deny criminals the use of the roads.
In a four hour operation on Wednesday 10 October, just off the Narborough Road in Leicester, officers stopped 20 vehicles; spoke to 31 people; seized 4 vehicles and arrested three people under the Proceeds of Crime Act following the discovery of a quantity of cash.
Operation Trivium is running throughout the country this week to disrupt networks active in a wide range of criminal activity.
