18-year-old robbed in Leicester

Were you anywhere near the canal towpath at the bottom of Discovery Road, Leicester, on Wednesday 5 April?

We’re investigating a robbery where an 18-year-old man has been approached by two people who stole his bank card and a navy and chrome Samsung mobile telephone.

The incident took place around 4.45pm, the victim was punched in the face, threats were made but no weapon was seen.

The suspects were both black and in their late teens. One of the suspects was of medium build, he had short, black curly hair and was about 5ft 8ins. He was wearing a dark blue hooded top, possibly with a grey logo, and blue jeans.

The second suspect had short black hair, of medium build and about 5ft 10ins tall. He was wearing a black padded jacket, possibly a black bum bag or a satchel around the front of his body.

Also, if you’ve heard rumours locally about who may be responsible or if you’ve been approached by someone trying to sell the mobile ‘phone then we’d like to speak to you.
