Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
Thefts from motor vehicles across the NH19 beat continue. Figures suggest that the majority of these thefts are from insecure vehicles. We continue our campaign to advise and educate victims and the vulnerable to 'lock it or lose it'. We also advise that those with vehicles carrying power tools to increase their security or, better still, remove tools from their vehicles where possible.

What we are doing:As summer approaches a reminder to all to close car windows and lock your vehicle and do not leave valuables on show. Also, please double check the security on your house to reduce your chances of becoming a victim. Our beat team, with the assistance of regional resources, have been proactive in engaging with the community to encourage people to report crime even where there is little evidence on which to follow up enquiries. By reporting crime we can use this information to build up a picture of where the crime is happening and who we need to be targeting. If you are a victim of crime, please contact us. Any 'live' incidents that you witness should always be reported through 999 and if the matter is not an emergency please make us aware through the non-emergency number, 101. We have received a lot of support from local residents to help us manage and reduce crime on this beat. As always, your continued support is very is much appreciated. Issued: June 2018
