Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
We continue to experience thefts from motor vehicles across the NH19 beat. Many of these thefts are from insecure vehicles. We continue our campaign to advise and educate victims and the vulnerable to 'lock it or lose it'. We also advise that those with vehicles carrying power tools to increase their security or, better still, to remove tools from their vehicles where possible.
The New Year has seen a number of planned initiatives to target offenders so there will be increased policing activity over the coming weeks.

What we are doing:Our beat team have been proactive in engaging with the community to encourage people to report crime even where there is little evidence on which to follow up enquiries. By reporting crime we can use this information to build up a picture of where the crime is happening and who we need to be targeting. If you are a victim of crime, please contact us. Any 'live' incidents that you witness should always be reported through 999 and if the matter is not an emergency please make us aware through the non-emergency number, 101. We continue to support all residents, especially the vulnerable, and have seen some excellent examples of this where residents have been looking out for their vulnerable neighbour's welfare and safety. Your support in helping us to be the eyes and ears of the community is very much appreciated and for this, we thank you. Issued: March 2018
