Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
There has been an increase in thefts from motor vehicles across the NH19 beat. Unfortunately, many of these appear to be from insecure vehicles. An on-going review of crime in the area shows that vehicle owners continue to leave their vehicles insecure on the road or on their driveways. We have publicised the 'lock it or Lose it' campaign widely yet many vehicles are targeting purely because they are insecure. Vehicles that have been targeted include those containing power tools so we advise their removal when not in use or use of more robust locks to deter thieves.

What we are doing:We have seen a rise in these types of crimes. To combat this we have arranged designated patrols in certain areas to try to identify offenders. If you have any evidence which would lead to the identification of offenders, please contact us on the non-emergency number 101. If you see suspicious activity in your area or see a vehicle in which the occupants are taking an unusual interest in particular vehicles please contact 101 or your local officers.
