Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
To reduce vehicle crime in the areas of Braunstone Town and Thorpe Astley and target those responsible.
Issued: August 2014
What we are doing:We have carried out community engagement events in the local area to identify potential victims of vehicle crime and provide advice around vehicle security. Although we have seen a dip in reported vehicle crimes in March, the team have continued to patrol the key areas of the neighbourhood to deter would be thieves. Through the Integrated Offender Management structure we have actively targeted known offenders in order to manage their offending behaviour. Unfortunately there have not been any arrests in relation to this priority during March, but we encourage the community to pass to us any information that may lead to arrests or stolen property being recovered. For people wanting to remain anonymous this can be done by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Issued: April 2015
