Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
We continue to experience thefts from motor vehicles across the NH19 beat. Many of these thefts are from insecure vehicles. We continue our campaign to advise and educate victims and the vulnerable to 'lock it or lose it'. We also advise that those with vehicles carrying power tools to increase their security or, better still, to remove tools from their vehicles where possible.
For the New Year there are a number of planned initiatives to target offenders so there will be increased policing activity in the area.

What we are doing:We have contacted and spoken with residents to ensure that those vulnerable to these types of theft are aware of the threat and encourage people to remember to lock their vehicles and not to leave goods on show. Our team continue to patrol and to target offenders and encourage residents to call in on the non-emergency number, 101, if they have information which could lead to offenders being brought to justice. If you see a 'live' incident, please call 999. As we approach the Christmas period this message is even more important to ensure your safety over the celebratory period. Issued: January 2018
