Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
The North beat are receiving ASB calls from both Rutland and Stamford residents about the noise of the motorbikes being used on the quarry.
With 4 out of the 5 calls regarding ASB on my beat highlighting this issue this clearly identifies this as the North beat priority.
Issued: May 2017
What we are doing:We have conducted High Visibility patrols on the quarry and around the location to try and identify bike users, however I have still not witnessed any bikers at the location. We have had several calls to Leicestershire police with regards to this issues and have updated the callers with our responses. Stamford police team have had several reports about motor bikes in the quarry and we continue to work with them to identify the users to ensure they do not return. This month we are hoping to conduct a joint operation with the Cross Border Team and will be using the Police off-road bike to try and identify bike users and educate them about the issues reported.
