Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
The North beat are receiving ASB calls from both Rutland and Stamford residents about the noise of the motorbikes being used on the quarry.
With 4 out of the 5 calls regarding ASB on my beat highlighting this issue this clearly identifies this as the North beat priority.
Issued: May 2017
Rutland officers will be carrying out targeted patrols in areas previously identified as hare coursing hot spots in Rutland. This issue is on going and I would appeal to the community to report all sightings of hare coursing on 101 to assist police to tackle this concern.
Issued: October 2016
What we are doing:We have continued to work hard to tackle this issue since October last year and have noted a reduction in incidents reported through 101. I would like to say a massive thank you to all the local residents, dog walkers and especially farmers that have supported both the North and South beat teams to tackle this issue and without their support we would not achieve the success we have. This month I am happy to say that we have not had a single report of Hare coursing for the North Beat and so will look to close this priority this month. Issued: April 2017
