Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
Groups of youths have been congregating in the area, causing damage to traffic furniture and causing Anti-Social Behaviour.
The beat team are also aware of intermittent reports of persons parking vehicles in the area, allegedly engaging in using and dealing drugs.
Issued: March 2017
What we are doing:Your local beat team have ensured that there have been targeted patrols during the core times identified for these offences. Where possible opportunities will be taken to secure evidence, arrest and charge those responsible.
Groups of youths congregating in the area of Attingham Close. Recent reports of around 15 youths climbing on cars within the cul-de-sac.
Issued: December 2016
What we are doing:We will, work with partner agencies including Leicester City Council and Housing to address issues, especially where suspects or offenders are identified as being Council tenants. Patrols to be conducted in Attingham Close including walking through the alleyways that cut through the cul-de-sac, and communal stairways of the flats. Offender recorded on Police Bodycam and parents spoken with. The leaflets update residents that Neighbourhood Officers have raised the ASB issues as a priority and highlights actions police will be taking to solve the issue. The leaflet also provides details about how residents will be able to contact the Neighbourhood Team or report incidents of ASB. Update 27th January 2017 - We have completed leaflet drops utilising our Leicestershire Police Cadets, educating local residents that we are dealing with the Anti-Social behaviour and how to contact the local beat team. We have increased high visibility patrols within the area and continue to work with our partner agencies. Issued: March 2017
