Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
Groups of youths have been congregating in the area of Larch Street (and the Willow Brook), causing damage to property, setting fires to rubbish in the wooded areas, causing large amounts of noise and playing football in the street.
Issued: June 2017
What we are doing:We will be increasing patrols in the area requesting support from other teams within East Leicester NPA and from 24/7 policing to try and identify and deal with any offenders. We will be liaising with partner agencies such as Leicester City Council to try and tackle any environmental features that may be contributing to the location suffering from ASB. Your local beat team will be holding a Community Consultation on 9th July between 6pm and 7pm, where you can discuss your issues with your local officers. Issued: June 2017
Lily Park has re-opened this last month (March) and already we have seen an increase in reports of Anti-social behaviour involving youths coming off the ball park/recreation ground and going onto residents drive ways, intimidating residents and throwing items around.
Issued: April 2017
What we are doing:This issue will be solved with increased patrols dealing with any offences disclosed. ‘Pop up’ ASB surgeries at the park will be held to speak with residents and youths, the next surgery is booked in for Wednesday 21st June at 6pm till 8pm. CCTV cameras have gone up into the area and are currently monitoring the park and surrounding areas. Issued: June 2017
