Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
Keeping you and your property safe.
Issued: May 2017
What we are doing:The reduction of burglary is a priority for the Force and we would urge residents to make sure they protect themselves and don't leave items on display, lock doors and windows. Please be very cautious about who you invite into your property. Ask for ID, question the reason(s) given for wanting to enter your property - does it sound genuine? If in doubt, decline the request, close your door and alert the police to report suspicious activity. Do you routinely check you locked your vehicle? A significant percentage of vehicles that are subject of crime are left unlocked - always double check. Rest assured, your local beat teams are on patrol daily and we are conducting a number of 'beat surgeries' in the coming months where you can meet the team and discuss crime prevention advice. Issued: June 2017
Anti-social behaviour at local parks.
Issued: May 2017
What we are doing:We wish to thank the local public in assisting the local policing teams in our quest to reduce ASB, particularly at your local parks. Through many consultations and engagements, we have identified a number of persons that have been linked to concerns and begun incremental approaches with our partners to ensure those responsible fully understand the implications of their actions. We would urge anyone in the local community who is suffering from or witness to ASB to come forward and report it to us on 101 or via the Leicestershire Police Website. Issued: June 2017
