Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
We have been made aware of issues raised in relation to parking around the Inglehurst Junior and Infant Schools, on Ingle Street. This is resulting in parking issues on the zig-zag areas of Sandhurst Road.
Issued: December 2016
What we are doing:Following the issues reported last year, cones and extra posters have been utilised by the school during drop off and pick up times to enforce the zig-zag lines. We will continue to monitor any issues that evolve and conduct patrols in the hours where demand allows. Issued: January 2017
We have received reports of anti-social behaviour, including reports of drug dealing, rowdy and inconsiderate behaviour on Kate Street. This is around the residential premises and the linking pathways.
Issued: November 2016
What we are doing:A residents meeting was held on Thursday 1st December, where a few individuals attended to speak about the problems experienced. These problems were then taken to the patch walk that was held on Friday 2nd December, to be raised with other partner agencies such as housing, the local City Warden and MP Dawn Alfonso. Work is to be taken forward from all involved. Consequently there has been a decrease in the number of reports received from Kate Street and the surrounding streets. Issued: January 2017
