Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
Residents have identified regular anti-social behaviour and harassment and criminal damage on Swannington Road caused by a group of local people.
Issued: June 2018
What we are doing:Police have prosecuted one person on the street for offences of criminal damage and public order. Their family have also been given a final warning by their housing provider. We plan a community consultation in the coming weeks to identify further victims and evidence to enforce actions against offenders. Following a community consultation at the end of August it has been identified that there continues to be on-going anti-social behaviour caused by local residents and their visitors. Police are now working closely with partner agencies to gather further evidence to enforce actions against offenders. Issued: September 2018
We have received reports of anti-social behaviour, including reports of drug dealing, rowdy and inconsiderate behaviour on Kate Street. This is around the residential premises and the linking pathways.
Issued: December 2017
What we are doing:A resident on the street has been evicted by the housing provider due to their anti-social behaviour. We are working with the local authority to take legal actions against another tenant on the street. Intelligence is gathered regularly and arrests continue in the area. Officers continue to patrol the area and following the eviction of one resident police are now working with partners and will be looking at taking possession of another property where the issues of anti-social behaviour are stemming from. Issued: September 2018
