Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
The area of Tudor Close, Leicester has been identified by local residents as a location for continual anti-social behaviour, including drug dealing, street drinking and gathering.
Issued: March 2017
What we are doing:The local team are aware of the issues and have been working with residents who are reporting the issues to them. Patrols by both high visibility and plain clothes officers have been conducted but no perpetrators have been present or identified. From a Ward Meeting on 24th March 2017, the issues have been raised by residents to the local Councillors. From this a multi-agency meeting is being organised within a week to discuss the issues and resolutions. Issued: March 2017
We have received reports of anti-social behaviour, including reports of drug dealing, rowdy and inconsiderate behaviour on Kate Street. This is around the residential premises and the linking pathways.
Issued: November 2016
What we are doing:Following high visibility patrols and visits to perpetrators, it appears the issues have been reduced on Kate Street itself. However, there is a possibility the issues have moved to nearby Tudor Close. We are continuing our work with Leicester City Council Housing officers in relation to this issue. Issued: March 2017
St Clement's Court, Comet Close was inherited onto the Fosse Ward area from the New Parks area in 2016 following the council boundary changes. It originally house retired people but was purchased privately in 2009 and it now contains three blocks of flats. We are aware that there are numerous issues stemming from the location including anti-social behaviour, civil incidents and crime.
Issued: May 2016
What we are doing:From a Ward Meeting on 24th March 2017, residents from St Clement's Court and the nearby houses have attended the feedback we are receiving is that the problems have significantly reduced. There have been no reports of drug dealing from the location and we believe this has been as a result of a drugs warrant conducted recently. We will continue to include this area in our patrols. Issued: March 2017
