Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
We have received reports of anti-social behaviour, including reports of drug dealing, rowdy and inconsiderate behaviour on Kate Street. This is around the residential premises and the linking pathways.
Issued: November 2016
What we are doing:We are continuing our work with Leicester City Council Housing officers by directly visiting those known to be causing the issues stemming. We are working in supporting evidence to Housing officers for the perpetrators. Our high visibility patrols continue through the area. Issued: February 2017
St Clement's Court, Comet Close was inherited onto the Fosse Ward area from the New Parks area in 2016 following the council boundary changes. It originally house retired people but was purchased privately in 2009 and it now contains three blocks of flats. We are aware that there are numerous issues stemming from the location including anti-social behaviour, civil incidents and crime.
Issued: May 2016
What we are doing:Since May 2016, the Fosse Ward Dedicated Neighbourhood Team have actively been involved in the multi-agency approach in resolving the issues at the location. Other agencies involve Leicester City Council, Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, the private and council housing sectors and the Leicester Anti-Social Behaviour Unit. We as the police continue our high visibility patrols, have recently conducted a warrant targeting drug dealing and continue to support and communicate with local residents about the issues. Issued: February 2017
