Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
Groups of young adults were gathering and using their vehicles in an Anti-Social manner at locations that are in the heart of the community, such as recreational areas and car parks, this usually takes place in the evenings across Ashby and Forest beat areas and the nuisance caused relates to excessive noise and poor driver standards.
Issued: December 2016
What we are doing:To combat this behaviour the beat team have been targeting the activity and working with partner agencies to find ways to stop the activity from reoccurring in the future. Most recent update as of 28th of December is that there has been marked decrease in incidents reported as a result of patrols carried out by the beat team, there is also a site assessment of the Millennium gardens area of Measham due to take place early in 2017 to assess what can be done to make the location less attractive for those who want to cause nuisance while gathering at the location.
