Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
The issue revolves around small numbers of street drinkers congregating in several areas around the Evington Ward. This on its own is a cause of anti social behaviour, as the groups will be in drink and tend to be extremely loud and use foul language. There are a number of secondary issues such as the drinkers littering, begging and urinating in the street, shop doorways, etc and thus having a negative impact on the local businesses.
Issued: September 2017
What we are doing:A multi agency approach is being used to address the issues of street drinking and ASB in the area. Patrols have increased in the area and a number of individuals have been issued warnings. a multi agency approach towards licensing and sale of alcohol to under age patrons is currently being formulated. Issued: October 2017
