Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
To combat domestic burglaries in villages across the beat.

What we are doing:Following a recent increase in burglaries in some areas of Charnwood including Rothley, Quorn, Cropston and Swithland the local beat team have been putting on extra patrols in the area. An operation has been run, involving Police Officers, PCSOs and Special Constables. During the operation a 41 year old man has been arrested and charged with a burglary at a house in Woodhouse Eaves. Two other men aged 20 and 34 have also been arrested during the operation for other offences. Additional patrolling continues Issued: April 2018
To combat vehicle related antisocial behaviour and disorder around the area of Kinchley Lane during the evening and overnight.

What we are doing:Local officers patrol the area on a regular basis. There have been fewer reports of ASB from members of the public in recent weeks, although we are still receiving reports of trespassers at the Severn Trent facility. Issued: March 2018
The local community have highlighted that they are concerned over the number of vehicles that are speeding through Thurcaston and Cropston.

What we are doing:Speed enforcement has taken place at various locations across the beat on a number of occasions. Warnings have been issued to motorists speeding at less than 10mph over the limit and speeding tickets have been issued to those travelling in excess of 10mph over the limit. Issued: March 2018
