LPD commander - Chief Superintendent Adam Streets
Chief Superintendent, Adam Streets is the Commander for the Local Policing Directorate (LPD), which covers the eight Neighbourhood Policing Areas (NPAs) across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Adam has a wealth of experience in local policing, having been at the force since 1995. Over this time, Adam has held command roles in the city, county and Rutland, he has worked on a three force collaboration and most recently has been the head of our Corporate Services Department.
Taking command of the LPD in January 2019, Adam is responsible for the policing the nine local authority areas of Leicester City Council, Charnwood Borough Council, North West Leicestershire District Council, Rutland County Council, Melton Borough Council, Oadby and Wigston District Council, Harborough District Council, Blaby District Council and Hinckley and Bosworth District Council.
As well as local policing, the role also sees Adam take responsibility for 24/7 emergency responses, local neighbourhood policing footprint, contact management and volunteers policing.
The LPD is an excellent team of officers and police staff who have a commitment to service excellence and a strong commitment to neighbourhood policing.
