NPA commander - Inspector Rob Randell
Hello, I am Inspector Rob Randell and I am the police commander for West Leicester, a role I am extremely proud to hold.
I started my policing career with Nottinghamshire Police and transferred to Leicestershire Police in 2008, where shortly after I was posted on a proactive team at Hinckley Road police station.
This was my first introduction to neighbourhood policing and I found it extremely rewarding, both in the sense of our achievements and the difference we made for our local communities. The following year, I was appointed deputy commander and continued for another year before moving on into other roles, including intelligence and 24/7 policing.
A return to neighbourhood policing has been a long-time goal for me and to return to West Leicester, where it all started, feels like a return to my roots. I very much look forward to working with a great team of officers, volunteers and partners to deliver a first class service to the communities of West Leicester.
