Current local priorities
Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities that we will be concentrating on over the coming months:
Groups of young adults gathering and using their vehicles in an anti-social manner at locations that are in the heart of the community, such as recreational areas and car parks, this usually takes place in the evenings at sites across Ashby and Forest neighbourhoods and the nuisance caused relates to excessive noise and poor driver standards. This was an issue last year but this was significantly reduced. This again has been identified as an issue. If you witness any such anti-social beahviour then please contact a member of the beat team to raise your concerns, so we can identify and target specific locations.
Issued: June 2017
What we are doing:To combat this behaviour the beat team have been targeting the activity and working with partner agencies to find ways to stop the activity from reoccurring In the future. North West Leicestershire council street enforcement team has taken action in relation to the Royal Hotel car park, delivering signage to the hotel to advise that the location is strictly for parking only. The local beat team have conducted patrols and will continue to do so.
