Information Sharing

Leicestershire Police is committed to protecting our communities by reducing crime and anti-social behaviour. Leicestershire Police recognises that a high standard of information management is essential to the operational efficiency of the Force and has in place a number of Information Sharing Agreements. The formal sharing of information within the public, private and voluntary sectors enables the different organisations to deliver key services.

Public sector organisations in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland have jointly developed an Information Sharing Protocol. This is a high level strategic document which contains a commitment to information sharing where this is necessary to allow the signatories to carry out their statutory responsibilities.

An Information Sharing Agreement is simply a formal written arrangement between organisations that wish to share personal information on a regular or semi-regular basis.

We are currently going through the process of reviewing our existing ISAs with partner agencies and to encourage fairness and transparency once completed these are being published here.
